    • In case of US Customer, the orders are received in CSV format. The system reads the CSV file and creates the sales order.
    • The orders can be imported for the majors like Zales, J C Penny, Wal-Mart, Fred Meyer, Sterling Inc, AAFES.

  • Vendor Purchase Order
    • The software generates automated and user driven vendor purchase orders. 
    • Once the sales order is approved, the system can raise a vendor purchase order automatically based on the vendor mapped to the respective style variant.
    • The vendor purchase order can be raised either for the entire FG or for mount, for semi mount, center stone. 
  • The system has the provision of work flow driven procurement process.    
  • The process enables approvals at the required stages. 
  • The goods receipt is always aligned to purchase orders. 
  • Steps : 
    • Based on the order requirement, the available inventory will be compared (through a report).
    • The purchase requisition is made in sync with the requirement or proposed requirement.
    • Once the purchase requisition is approved, the purchase order will be generated.
    • On approval of the purchase order, respective P.O. is raised.
    • Goods can be received either on outright basis or on consignment/memo/ approval.
  • Metal inventory management. 
  • System allows metal to take inward through following processes: Purchase, Old gold purchase, Sales return, Melting etc.
  • Metal is maintained in the form it is received i.e. Different form, karat. However the system always gives the total stock in PG/ too.

  • In – house jewellery manufacturing (the process mentioned below is not a hard-coded process flow. The process flow can be configured as per the requirement of the company.)
  • Steps:
    • After the sales order is approved, the job bags or batch cards will be created.
    • The batches will be transferred to the wax injecting department for wax shooting.
    • The stone control department will check the available inventory of stones required for the respective orders.
    • If the stock is not available, then the procurement process will start.
    • If the stock is available, then the stone control department will create the bunches or diamond bags.
    • The wax injection department will transfer the batches, with the wax models, to the wax setting department, if the pieces are to be wax studded.
    • If not, then the department will make the wax tree.
    • The stone control department will transfer the bunches to wax setting department.
    • The wax setting department will issue the batches with the wax models and bunches to the worker for wax setting.
    • After the wax setting, the batches will be returned from the worker.
    • The wax setting department will transfer the batches for wax tree making.
    • The wax injection department will create the wax trees based on the metal type, karat and color.
    • The metal control department will issue pure metal and alloy for alloying, if the required alloyed metal is not available in stock.
    • The wax injecting department will transfer the wax tree to the casting department.
    • The casting department will calculate the required alloyed metal per tree and will inform the metal control department to issue the required alloyed metal.
    • The metal control department will issue the required alloyed metal to the casting department.
    • The casting department will issue the wax tree and the required alloyed metal for casting.
    • After casting process, the casting department will weigh the casted  tree and will register the casting process loss.
    • Then the department will cut the tree and will return the casted models, sprue metal candles, loose metal to the metal control department and will register the tree cutting loss.
    • The metal control department will put the casted models in their respective job bags with their respective weights.
    • The metal control department will transfer the job bags to the filing department.
    • The filing department will issue the job bags for different  processes / operations like filing, linking, soldering, assembly, etc.
    • The filing department will issue extra metal, solder, wire to the worker.
    • The filing department will take back the extra metal, sprue, solder, wire, etc. and will register the process loss.
    • The filing department will transfer the job bags to the pre-polishing department.
    • The pre-polishing department will issue job bags for pre-polishing process.
    • The pre-polishing department will book the production of the pre-polishing process and will book the process loss.
    • The pre-polishing department will transfer the job bags to the metal setting department.
    • The metal setting department will issue the job bags for either metal setting or wax setting finishing.
    • The metal setting department will book the production of the metal setting process and will book the process loss.
    • The metal setting department will transfer the job bags to the final polish department.
    • The final polish department will issue the job bags for the polishing process.
    • The final polish department will book the production of the polishing process and will book the process loss.
    • The final polish department will transfer the job bags to the QC department.
    • The QC department will register the QC checking parameters for each job bags.
    • If the QC department finds any repairing or modification, then the QC department will get the same repaired or modified through the respective department.
    • Once the QC department approves the pieces, the pieces will be transferred to the Finished Goods (FG) department.
  • Sub - contracting ( job working) 
    • 1) Full Sub-contracting:
      • The job worker or the subcontractor will manufacture the entire piece.
      • The Raw Material, i.e., Metal, Stones, Diamonds, Findings will be issued to the job worker.
      • The Job worker will return the FG.
    • 2) Partial Sub-contracting:
      • The job worker or the subcontractor may perform certain processes of the Manufacturing.
      • The Semi Finished or WIP items, Metal, Stones, Diamonds, Findings will be issued to the job worker.
      • The Job worker will return either the FG or WIP piece.
    • 3) FG Purchase:
      • The job worker will supply the readymade jewellery. The company may or may not issue the raw material to the job worker.
  • Inventory Valuation:
    • The system maintains the inventory valuation as weighted average.
    • The stock value is added at the time of first time inward of the items. Thereafter the system does not allow to change the stock value.
    • In the case of stones, the system maintains the stock value each lot wise. If more than one lots are merged together, then the weighted average rate is updated for the merged lot.
  • Post Manufacturing Costing:
    • After the manufacturing process is completed, the post manufacturing costing of each piece is done, where the system calculates the actual cost of the raw material consumed in the FG.
    • In this process, the user will also add some overheads and other expenses to derive the cost of the FG.
    • This cost of the FG will be used to calculate the GP, when the piece is sold.
  • Mrp Genration :
    • Once the post manufacturing costing is done, then the MRP (Maximum Retail Price) or the selling price of the piece will be calculated, where the system will apply the selling rates defined for each bill of material and will also apply the labor charges as defined.In case of customer order, the pricing of the piece will be calculated as per the rates defined at the time of order.

  • Bar Code Generation :
    • For each finished goods piece a unique Bar-code will be generated.
    • This unique Bar-code will be used for retail processes like sales, memo movement, etc.
